Greetings and blessing to all of you. Today is the last day of the year. Tomorrow is a new year. God has told and ask us many things in the Scriptures but the following four may help us to begin the New Year with confidence, strength, joy and wisdom. God says to us in:
Phil 3:12-14 “Not that I have already attained or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me…One thing I do forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”
Stop focusing on the past begin to focus on the vision God has placed before you….use the past as lessons to do better.
Gal. 6:9 “let us not lose heart in doing good for in due time we will reap a harvest if we do not grow weary.”
I know a lot of us get very depressed to a point of numbness or hopelessness however, to help us… call on some of the saints to help carry your burdens. Come to Bible Study classes. Begin reading and meditating on the Word of God. Begin evangelizing. Befriend more Christians.
I John 4:4 “You are from God little children and have overcome them because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.”
…we walk by faith and not by sight…yield and submit to the Holy Spirit within you. Fight this Spiritual warfare from a point of Victory not Defeat.
I John 2:15-17 “do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life is not from the Father but is from the world. The world is passing away and also its lusts but the one who does the will of the Father lives forever.”
Be obedient and trust God to do as He will so He will be pleased with you.
With Much Grace,
Commitment, Priority, and Giving
